Appealing to the more discerning late night London crowd tired of identikit, faceless bars and clubs with no creativity and soul, The Cuckoo Club features 5,000 square feet of ostentatious and 'rock-chic' design, spread over two floors, and a founding committee that reads like a who's who of creative talent in London.
Featuring a destination restaurant, some of Europe's most proficient mixologists and an electrifying rock 'n roll/dance hybrid musical output, The Cuckoo Club unquestionably delivers, unbridled, high octane glamour to London's party cavalry.
The ground floor restaurant at The Cuckoo Club serves the finest in European Contemporary Cuisine with a unique style. Head Chef Fernando Stovell, former Executive Chef of the Wellington Club, focuses on a contemporary deconstruction of classical food, embracing optimum, with produce sourced from all over the world. Stovell takes the time to interact with and personally serve his diners, sources ingredients and ensures that the wine and food interplay and inspire each other, making sure the full dining experience at The Cuckoo Club is exclusive, indulgent, yet comfortable. “When Christian Slater is not flying one over the cuckoo’s nest, a la Nicholson, he waltzes into 5000 square feet of delectable dissipation at Cuckoo’s, attuning his eardrums to the rock hybrids blasting majestically out of speakers with sonic delights such as The Libertines and Kasabian spun together with sprinkles of The Rolling Stones.
Seduced further by resident Dom T's smooth vibes, guests can head up from subterranean bliss to the ground floor restaurant only to savour head chef Andy Glover's concoctions such as Beef Celeriac Dauphinoise or Chocolate Vinsanto Fondant.
Delightfully teasing the tongue, and not the wallet, Bar Manager Mark Fairweather and menu guru Jussi Willehard Kalmi make sure to engender mouth froth with ultimate thirst-quenchers such as “The Roadrunner”- a splash of Tequila, vanilla pods, Canadian maple syrup and free range egg white or the “Purple Lady”-a mélange of Tanqueray gin, Martini rose vermouth and orange bitters.
If purple ladies don’t tickle”
