Meaning 'treasure' in Arabic, Kenza is an ode to refinement and luxury. Be charmed by Middle Eastern hospitality as you relax into a crush of satin cushions. Let perfumed incense and fountains brimming with roses charm your senses. Relish the richness of homestyle Moroccan dishes and be enchanted by the shadow play of light through beaded lamps. Share stories over mouthfuls of spiced mezza. And, when you can't eat another bite, relinquish yourself to the intensity of the night as belly dancers entice you to revel until dawn.
Kenza by weekday is a striking destination for corporate clientele and busy about-towners. Inspired by Moroccan interiors, Kenza's refined exoticism is an impressive backdrop for serious business lunching and an elegant respite from the urban bustle. Authentic homestyle Moroccan and Lebanese cuisine is featured in seven feast menus. An abundance of food is presented continuously, releasing you to concentrate on the business at hand.
Glamorous and alluring, Kenza by night is unashamedly femine. A softly-lit staircase, strewn with rose petals, leads guests to the shimmering dining expanse. Three distinct areas separated by ornate ironwork and carved wood screens offer contrasting experiences: the lounge bar, the restaurant, and the private dining room. Snug alcoves provide intimate settings for romantic dining and cloistered areas for small groups.
By day, Kenza's lounge bar is a bright getaway, perfect for small meeting, work pauses or indulgent mid-shopping breaks. Cocktails (including non-alcoholic 'virgin' mixes), coffee, mint tea and mezza are served throughout the day.
In the early evening Kenza's lounge bar is perfect for aperitifs, mezza and cocktails. Savour surprising combinations mixed from exotic, premium ingredients including fresh juices made from onsite. At 9pm a perceptible shift occurs - the lights dim, and the music pulses - a sultry prelude to late night partying. Bottle service begins from 11pm when the night swings into full gear with resident DJ's from Morocco and Lebanon pumping out classic after-party funk until 3.30pm.
Glamorous belly dancers appear twice nightly. An expression of fantasy and sensuality, the dancers epitomise the femininity at the heart of Kenza. The fun and flirty vibe proves irresistible as dancers mingle among tables delighting guests with their beauty and artistry. (Updated 03/02/2008)
