“I have to agree with Mr W - no idea what the other review (2 years old?) are on about. The bar on a Saturday night was as good as it gets - great buzz, great drinks and great time. We ate in the bar, just some nibbles, but it was the perfect accompaniement to some great cocktails. Cant wait for next weekend to go back.”

“I loved my evening at Proud Cabaret.
It is difficult to elaborate more than that, when one is presented with the rare conundrum of what was specifically the best part of an overall perfect evening? Was it the ambiance –which, modelled on a 1920’s speakeasy is elegant, sophisticated and full of comforting vintage charm? Was it the food, which came in a three course extravaganza of delicate seafood, flavoursome meat (although vegetarians were equally well catered for) and finished with a tantalising chocolate hazelnut dessert that left the mouth craving for more? Or was it the magical transformation from chilled jazz bar to true turn of the century retro glamour, when burlesque dancers entered and preformed to customers with class, energy and national standard skill?
The answer is a combination of all of the above. In the heart of the bustling city Proud’s newest venture provides everything you could want from a night out.”

“I tried this place out the other day. It was beautiful in the sunshine but it's a shame the roof covered most of the seating area. We couldn't make the most of the sun's rays.
Also, lots of people were smoking around us when we were trying to eat, which was a bit off putting.
Other than that the terrace is in a good location and was perfect after a hard morning of shopping!”

“Easily the best Indian restaurant in London. No other comes close. The food is divine and i can't go there often enough. A prefect example of how Indian restaurants should be. A gem.”

“I recently visited All Star Lanes in Bayswater and was thoroughly impressed.
When being told that I was going to a bowling alley for a night out I initially shuddered at the thought, but this is no usual bowling joint.
It has a very '50s bowling/diner feel to it, very authentic. The game was fun, but the food was great.
I had the veggie burger (don't worry fellow vegetarians, there are many veggie-friendly meals here) which was HUGE, which was very tasty. The cocktails were good too, which is why my memory of the end of the evening is a little hazy!”

“Went to All Star Lanes the other night for the first time, really enjoyed the bowling, it was so different to most bowling alleys! The food and service were great, and the menu's got loads to choose from. We also sat in the bar for drinks afterwards, which a bit quieter and more relaxing than the main restaurant area. I'll definitely be going back again!”

“Not being from London it is great that I have found this bar really close to the station. Cosy, well designed, good music, excellent and extensive cocktail menu with fab happy hour offers :) the music is varied and fun and the bar staff are just the nicest bunch of people I have come across!! I have met many friends here and whenever I'm in town I come here and am always greeted with a warm welcome :) I've introduced some of my London friends to Bar Social and they have returned also!
Well done guys, keep up the hard work!! xxx”

“We held a joint 30th birthday here and it was brilliant. We were giddy with excitement & alcohol and loved Imbibe so perhaps a more reliable unbiased version of events can be found in the quotes from our guests.... “mate, the BBQ was amazing, I ate way too much”... “where did you find this place? It’s so cool”...”the garden was wicked” … “the barman was fit”… “I did enjoy the Pimms” ... “That bar was frickin awesome” ...”

“AMAZZZING!!! Went there last weekend with some friends and we sang in the karaoke room until 2am! I'm yet to regain my voice. Had so much fun, I've already booked another karaoke booth for next weekend and at £60 for a 2 hour session, it's loads cheaper than other karaoke bars I've been to.
Think I may have embarrased myself a tad when I tried to belt out 'I will always love you'. Lets just say Whitney Houston I ain't. :)”

“I've read some bad reviews about the Peacock and i have got to say i don't agree. Maybe these were old reviews as when i went i had a absulote ball!! I went there for my sisters bday party and we all enjoyed ourselves! We had a cordoned off area which i thought was very cool and we had some cocktail lessons which were fun! the food was pretty good considering we had a fair few vegetarians with us. The shows started late but they were so much fun! my sister got up on stage and she was thoroughly enjoying herself! she had a great time!! our host was so friendly to us at one point when we were having difficulty getting drinks she provided us with table service and even gave our whole group a free round of tequila shots to make up for it! There's even a stripper pole there that gave us some entertainment as well!! only downfall for the place is there should be more space to dance around but otherwise the music was fun, we had a great time and on a budget as well!! thanks Peacock!”

“Avoid at all costs-I had a lovely meal in the main part upstairs at Tuttons. But then went to start my hen night thinking it was a classy cool cocktail bar but oh my good god. We arrived having reserved a booth, to which each person had to spend a minimum amount on drinks etc, this would have been fine-if we had been served! The booth only fit 6 people and there were 12 of us so half were left standing-and you cant dance as there is no dance floor?? I have no idea why they play the music so loud if you can't dance? Ok so we thought lets try out a drink-40 mins later and the people who had arrived after us had been served b4 us-we waited and waited and they said they had lost the order, fantastic! So not only were we sat in a place smelling, there was no air con so we were roasting, and we couldnt have a dance or a drink-very disappointing so we left and moved on to Roadhouse down the road-which was far far better made up for it all!”

“I've recently been to Mustik with a couple of friends and thought that the place definitely deserved a great deal of credit! Located just a stone's throw away from the heart of the City it was a great retreat from the usual hustle and bustle. There were plenty of cosy seating areas perfectly suited for our get together and (impressively for a City bar) there is ample place outside. I have to give special credit to the food - an amazing mix of Caribbean treats with delicious sauces which was such a welcome change from the usual nibbles in the surrounding places. Make sure you take your time to go through the menu and you will not be disappointed! The drinks were great too - we stuck to the cocktails but even the wine/lager lovers will be spoilt for choice there! The staff were very friendly and attentive with perfectly seamless service. All in all we had a great night and I am now a huge fan of this place - you absolutely HAVE TO try Mustik for yourself and you will never regret it!”

“We had a dinner on Friday night with a group of friends at Mustik, which is a recently opened Caribbean-inspired City oasis. It is well located, atmospheric and offers a diverse menu at good value. The venue creates a warm, opulent dining environment - the staff was excellent and very attentive. It is a pleasant surprise that after the dinner Mustik welcomes you to the world of best house beats downstairs at the club. Whether dancing till dawn to the sounds of the club’s residentDJ or simply relaxing at your table, you are sure to spend an unforgettable nightcatered by the unsurpassed service from a team of professional staff. Thoroughly recommend it!”

“After my sister's hen do last night, I strongly warn large groups against going there. Problems at almost every stage coupled with some rude staff & chaotic atmosphere. That said some staff were sweet and the manager was very sympathetic when we complained & gave us 10 bottles of free wine. Here are some problems we encountered so you can make up your own minds!
Bowling: The 4 lanes we pre-booked and paid for had over-run so we had to wait almost 30mins to get on. Also a problem writing names above each lane.
Drinks: Mojito was filled with crushed ice USING BARE HANDS. Ewh!
Food: Told there was nothing to eat except 12 pizzas.
Karaoke: Had to walk into make the previous group leave our pre-booked room. Embarrassing and should have been done by staff.
All in all, maybe ok for a spontaneous studenty night if you haven't prebooked things. But for anyone over 25, or with ANY expectations of customer service or things actually running to plan, I would give this place a wide berth.”

“we went for a friends birthday, booked for 2 lanes and a kareoke room.. apon arrival we were told we would have to wait for our bowling, ok so we went to get a drink, the bar was packed with only 2 staff serving. after waiting 25 minutes to get a drink we were informed that half the cocktail list was unavailable, we couln't get food for another 1/2 an hour, when we finally went to bowling our lane kept braking and it took a long time to send someone to fix our lane. kareoke was ok, but all in all a stressfull night! i would not recommend go to bloomsbury bowling if you want to have good time!”
