Pre-theatre restaurants don't always need to be London's West End, you know. The Almeida Theatre in Angel Islington on Upper Street provides culture for out-of-zone-1ers and Almeida restaurant directly opposite the theatre is the restaurant to book at if you have tickets for the show.
A classic French cuisine menu made with seasonal produce, in a restaurant that is high in quality but not pretentious in appearance. What the term 'neighbourhood restaurant' was invented for, really.
